Caesar Pasta Salad



everyone has such a favorite recipe, which is always an alternative if, for example, (again) you don’t find anything on the menu. For me, the Caesar salad is such an all-rounder. Hardly anyone can do anything wrong and it always tastes good. At least that’s my experience.

For example, if we get a salad during lunch break, my decision is usually made for the Caesar salad. If Alex and I want to eat salad at home, the Caesar Salad is usually served. And when I ask my loved ones which salad they would like to eat for barbecuing, the Caesar salad comes into a discussion more than any other salad. Somehow we all like it.

Now I wanted to bring a pasta salad for grilling. The ingredients were ready, pasta was cooked. But then my dear friend wrote to me “Can’t you bring me your delicious Caesar salad?” Oh, damn it. Ahem, of course, no problem at all.

It wasn’t, because why shouldn’t a pasta caesar salad taste good too? So we changed everything again, the loved one went to the supermarket around the corner and was ready, the dressing and the salad were prepared.

Speaking of dressing. I’m not a big fan of Majo and if the dressing wasn’t generally so tasty, I would probably always leave it out. Then when I do the Caesar dressing at home, I have found a good alternative. The solution: yogurt. Yogurt, spice, and a few other things and the dressing are small but less important delicious. Also: uncontrolled effects.

Caesar pasta salad

grocery list

– 6-8 servings
– 200g cherry tomatoes
– 2tbsp olive oil
– 1 teaspoon lemon juice
– 150g spinach
– 1 small red onion
– salt
– pepper
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 300g small pasta
– 50g grated parmesan 100g bacon
– Caesar dressing:
– 100g yogurt
– 1tbsp olive oil
– ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon Worcester sauce (more at will)
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 teaspoon black ground pepper
– 50g finely grated parmesan
– 1 tsp chopped parsley

How to do it

1. Stir yogurt and olive oil for the dressing, stir with the spices and finally the finely grated
2. Mix in the parmesan. Season again, it should taste a little spicier, it’s dressing.
3. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Meanwhile, chop the tomatoes into quarters. Place in a bowl, finely chop the onion and add. Chill pasta and let cool. Place the pasta in a salad bowl. Add the grated parmesan to the pasta. Roughly chop the spinach and add to the cooled pasta. Fry the bacon on both sides and cut into pieces, add to the pasta. Salt and pepper. Mix with the dressing and serve.
